Session 1:

5:30 PM     #BodyBeaUtiful, SPECIAL PREVIEW SCREENING OF DOCUMENTARY BY WORLD RENOWNED SUPERMODEL EMME

5:40 PM     How would life be different if everyone LOVED his/her BODY?  What does your BODY want to say to the WORLD?  In this documentary, supermodel Emme sets out on a mission to get answers to these questions:  Would people live their lives differently if they fully accepted and loved their bodies?  Would they decide to solve world hunger, would they would they allow themselves to be better lovers, would they get up and move to Australia!  How much does shame hold people back from living their dreams?  Emme interviews people from all walks of life and gets answers to these questions.  Beyond that, she hears from people of all shapes and sizes about their raw, heartfelt, intense stories around their bodies.   She shares these uncensored stories in this new film in the hopes of shattering barriers that can prevent more joyful, fulfilling lives.

A discussion will follow the film with Emme and Alisa Fliss, featured in 2006 HBO Documentary THIN, Recovery from Anorexia and Bulimia, Director of Business Development Recovery Division of Acadia Healthcare. They will help breakdown shame, silence and guilt around our bodies so people can feel more open sharing their truth.  Responses from interviewees will also provide insight into how contemporary society's narrow viewpoint of a person's body holds people back instead of propelling them towards better health, a better life, or a “better” body, encouraging all who view the series and or film to think of ways to improve self-talk and corporate decision making for the betterment of the society as a whole.

Session 2:

6:50 PM    ART & COMMERCE: MAINTAINING BALANCE - PRESENTED BY SPIRIT & FLESH MAGAZINE

As artists, we strive for integrity and truth. Yet, artists have the right to have viable careers, which requires attention to commercial demands. Do we compromise or is there harmony between the two? How do we maintain balance? Yelena Deyneko, Co-Founder & Creative Director of Spirit & Flesh Magazine, moderates this panel with Chris Austopchuk, Editor-in-chief of Spirit & Flesh and VP creative director of SONY Music; Stephanie Szostak actress currently starring in the USA Network series, Satisfaction; celebrity fashion stylist Ise White and fashion designer Norisol Ferrari.

About SPIRIT AND FLESH Magazine:
SPIRIT & FLESH magazine is the cocktail party you want to be part of. A gathering of writers, directors, photographers, actors, models, fashion designers, artists and musicians – established and emerging – all selected to excite, amplify and inspire one another, and you. Intelligent guests, speaking intelligently, embracing all forms of creativity and its cultural influence. In such a setting, the lines between fine art and commercial art and pop culture blur and blend at light-speed. Fashion is enriched by film, which is enriched by literature, which is enriched by painting, which is enriched by performance, be it dance or music or experiential.

Covering the masters and discovering new talent, SPIRIT AND FLESH is presented in several luxurious platforms: a physical publication of a size and printing quality that reminds you of a time when a published magazine was an event, along with online and tablet editions, each providing their own enhancements. With a menu that includes fashion and beauty editorial, films, interviews, behind the scene stories and an annual charity event, we offer many opportunities to participate in the festivities.  YOU ARE INVITED.
